BY SEA: Regular passenger ship services are available to port
blair from chennai ,
calcutta and
vishakhapatnam and back. There are three to four sailings every month from
calcutta and chennai to port blair and vice versa. There is one sailing
from vishakhapatnam in a month. The voyage takes about 50 to 60 hours.

By Road:
State transport service and private operators run regular city and
suburban bus services from central bus stand, near Aberdeen Bazaar,
Port Blair. Port
Blair is connected to Rangat and
Mayabunder both in
Middle Andaman , by the
Andaman Trunk Road. The route goes through dense forest and Jarawa Tribal
Reserve.
Travellers are not allowed to disembark in the reserved forest and
communicate with the tribals. Photography of tribals is prohibited. State
transport service and private operators run direct express bus services
daily from Port Blair to
Rangat and Mayabunder
and vice versa. Rangat is about 6 hours drive
and Mayabunder about 9 hours drive from Port
Blair. Buses leave from central bus stand, Port
Blair between 4.30 am and 11.30 am. Inter Island Boat Services
Directorate of Shipping Services operates Inter Island Passenger cum
Cargo Ferries / Vehicle Ferries from Phoenix Bay Jetty / Chatham Jetty,
Port Blair to tourist places like Bamboo Flat, Havelock Island, Neil
Island, Rangat, Mayabunder,
Diglipur and
Little Andaman .
